About the Consortium
The Consortium brings together researchers in the Psychology and Neuroscience department of the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences and in Counseling, Developmental & Educational Psychology department of the Lynch School of Education and Human Development, united by an interest in understanding how individuals best learn and remember information. Researchers affiliated with the Consortium seek to understand the basic principles of how learning and memory occur, and to lever that knowledge into helping people learn better — whether in the classroom, the workplace, or via interactions with parents and caregivers.
The Consortium is supported by a gift from members of the Boston College class of 1991 for research on learning and memory conducted to improve the educational experience for students with memory challenges.
